Acting Minister of Education and Higher Education Ayman Choucair announced that "after consulting with the concerned educational, security and political authorities, public and private schools in Sidon and its neighborhood will be closed tomorrow [Tuesday] due to the continued tense security situation and sniping operations. 
Minister Choucair will follow up on situation in Sidon on daily basis in order to take the proper decision with respect to schools.
