Educators, scholars, researchers, and policymakers in General Education programmes from around 20 countries will convene this Friday for Abu Dhabi University’s, ADU, 2nd General Education Conference 2017, in Abu Dhabi.
Organised by ADU’s University College under the theme "Learning Transformation towards 21st Century Skills", in its second year, the conference brings together more than 100 scholars and researchers to discuss digitalisation of learning, the new structures of teaching and learning, as well as highlighting the best international practices in future-oriented learning.
Commenting on the importance of the conference, Dr. Sreethi Nair, Dean of ADU’s University College, explained that it will give educators the opportunity to understand the current developments of renewing education, and the innovative reforms that higher education institutions need to implement to keep up with the ever-changing needs of the global labor market.
Conference Chair and Assistant Professor of Psychology at the ADU, Dr. Smitha Dev, added, "Through 14 different parallel sessions over the two-day conference we get the opportunity to explore more on general education programmes through the findings of around 58 research papers from around the world."
