Berlin - MENA
The German University in Cairo (GUC) represents 48 percent of the German scientific cooperation worldwide, a GUC top official said.
In statements to MENA, GUC Board of Trustees Chairman Ashraf Mansour said Egyptian and German deals give priority to cooperation in the scientific and technical domains as well as training sessions.
Mansour said "we were keen to accompany the economic delegation visiting Germany as education is the locomotive of economy and development."
The Deutsche Bank's report issued in June said the Egyptian economy is promising and encouraging for German investors, he noted.
Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr signed on Monday an agreement with German on getting a 12 million euro grant.
The grant will bankroll dual education programs, small and micro-enterprises and administrative development programs.
