The Omani Students Association at International Islamic University of Malaysia held its first meeting recently in the presence of the Cultural attaché of the Sultanate in Malaysia, staff and students. The Association aims to take care of students, their academic affairs; social and cultural activities in addition to participating in the activities and functions held by the university. The Association aims to present an honourable image of the Omani people and the Sultanate as a whole, to solve the problems faced by students in and outside the university and to strengthen the relationship of Omani students with the other students and universities. The Association is looking forward to enhance its activities and duties in a way that reflects the talents and abilities of students. The University was established in 23 May 1983, founded on Islamic principles with the aim to become the premier Islamic university in the world.
