President Mahmoud Abbas Thursday received a delegation from the Union of Palestinian Women Committees on the occasion of the International Women’s day. He said, during his meeting with the delegation in his headquarters in Ramallah, that Palestinian women have an essential role especially during these critical times that our cause is going through. “The Woman is half the society and so her vital role must be activated, especially in terms of supporting popular resistance, which must be exploited to the extreme against the Israeli occupation.”   Abbas congratulated the Palestinian women, considering them an example of persistence and courageousness.
