Convicted Delaware killer Shannon Johnson, who waived his right to appeal, was executed early on Friday by lethal injection, AP said. Johnson was convicted of shooting 25-year-old Cameron Hamlin in 2006 after finding him sitting with Johnson’s ex-girlfriend. A federal appeals court earlier overturned a judge\'s decision to halt the execution in response to efforts by federal public defenders, who intervened to spare his life. Johnson said he did not want to pursue any further appeals after the state Supreme Court upheld his death sentence in 2009.
