Saudi businesswoman and chairwoman of the trade committee of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), Nashwa Tahir, has won the 2011 award of the World Customs Organization in appreciation of her efforts in business and fighting fraud and imitation. Director General of Saudi Customs Saleh Al-Khilaiwi presented the prize to Tahir during a special function at the JCCI on Tuesday. He said this was another achievement to be added to the Kingdom\'s international accomplishments. Al-Khilaiwi said the prize was awarded to individuals and establishments who fight fraud and protect intellectual property rights. Tahir expressed happiness about winning this international award and said it served as evidence of the achievements of Saudi women in service of their country in various fields. The WCO, an independent government organization, was established in 1952 in Brussels under the name Customs Cooperation Council. In 1964, the organization took its present name.
