Police in Pakistan are investigating the apparent rape and slaying of a 7-year-old girl Saturday in the city of Lahore. Dawn News said the assailants raped the girl, killed her, and dumped her body on an empty plot of land. It is the second high-profile child rape in Lahore in about a year. In the previous incident, which remains unsolved, a 5-year-old girl was raped for more than an hour before the suspects dumped her at a hospital and fled.
