Clashes broke out on Wednesday between Palestinians and a number of extremist settlers near Assera village south of Nablus city northern the West Bank. Palestinian official in charge of the settlement file in the northern part of the West Bank, Ghassan Douglas said in a press statement that the settlers attacked Palestinian workers building a water tank, noting that violent clashes had erupted between the workers and the settlers, who tried to burn and destroy the tank during the last few weeks. Meanwhile, five Palestinians were arrested today by Israeli forces in Nablus. Palestinian sources said the Israeli soldiers stormed the areas of Yatta, al-Arroub and al Fawwar camps in Nablus and arrested the Palestinians. The Israeli army launches arrest campaigns on a daily basis against dozens of Palestinians in various cities and villages of the West Bank under various pretexts.
