Qatar's permanent representative to the United Nations HE Ambassador Sheikha Alia Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani chaired today a consultative meeting for member countries to prepare for an October event on international efforts for combating human trafficking.
President of the United Nations General Assembly Peter Thomson appointed HE Sheikha Alia Ahmed bin Said Al-Thani and Greece's permanent envoy to the UN as facilitators in the consultative meetings ahead of the main events. The General Assembly President's decision was in recognition of the State of Qatar's role in the field.
