Sundsvall - UPI
A 75-year-old Swedish woman said she killed a fox with her bare hands when she caught the wild animal attacking her chickens. Ingrid Meinking, 75, who lives in a village outside Sundsvall, said the chicken coop had been on her property for less than two months recently when she noticed her cats reacting to strange noises outside, The Local.se reported Monday. Meinking said she went out to the chicken coop and discovered the fox attacking her five hens. \"I wasn\'t scared. I didn\'t feel anything, but my heart was pounding for an hour afterwards,\" Meinking said. \"He ran between my legs, and I said, \'Now I\'m going to get that thing.\'\" \"He didn\'t have time to think! I squeezed my legs together and grabbed him,\" she said. Meinking said she grabbed the fox by the tail and slammed him against the stone steps of her home. \"I grabbed him, threw him around twice and then slammed him against the stone stairs. Then he was dead,\" Meinking told the local Sundsvall Tidning newspaper. Meinking said one of her hens suffered a minor injury, but all were able to lay their eggs in the morning.
