A Texas woman who says she was hit by a golf ball on her birthday has sued the course and a golfer who she says just wiped blood off the ball and help playing. The lawsuit filed by Maureen Percenti names Craig Rooker of Austin and the Grey Rock Golf Course as defendants, Courthouse News Service reported. It was filed in Travis County court. In court papers, Percenti said she was hit by a ball during a backyard birthday celebration in April 2013. She said she was knocked out by the impact and that Rooker showed up soon after looking for his ball. "Plaintiff's son-in-law told defendant Rooker that his golf ball had hit plaintiff in the head and directed him to the ball, which was covered in blood," the complaint said. "Defendant Rooker wiped plaintiff's blood off of his ball and continued playing his golf game." Percenti said the injury has caused neck pain, headaches and memory loss.
