The share of women among judges, prosecutors and diplomats in South Korea went up to around 20 percent last year, the home affairs ministry said Monday, a move reflecting the growing role of women in officialdom. According to the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, 363 of the country's 1,749 prosecutors, or 20.8 percent, and 297 of 1,564 diplomats, or 19 percent, were women as of the end of last year. Females also accounted for 24.3 percent of justices, up 1.6 percentage points from 2009, the ministry said.
