To mark the UAE Civil Aviation Day, on October 5, Emirates shared the inspiring story of how a Dubai royal became the family's first woman pilot.
In a YouTube video, Sheikha Mozah Al Maktoum shares her story of how she fulfilled her "biggest dream" - becoming a pilot. The young Dubai royal shares that she first joined Emirates in 2015 as a cadet pilot. Three years later, Sheikha Mozah is a first officer aboard Emirates' Boeing 777.
The Dubai royal also extended thanks to the UAE's leaders for the opportunities they have provided for the youth.
alking about her job, she says that she gets to fly around the world. She adds that she also enjoys seeing landing back in Dubai and watching the UAE from the skies.
As the video comes to an end, she leaves viewers with an advice. "I think you must always follow your dreams and have the patience and persistence to turn them into reality. Never give up on what you want," Sheikha Mozah said.
Recently, a video of Sheikha Mozah making an in-flight announcement in both English and Arabic went viral. Earlier, Khaleej Times reported that she completed her first commercial passenger flight. To mark the occasion, Sheikha Mozah posted a photo of herself inside the cockpit of Emirates flight EK903, which she co-piloted on February 25, 2017.
