MP Dr. Sawsan Taqawi, a member of the parliamentary delegation participating in the meetings of the IPU Standing Committee on International Peace and Security being held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, today stressed rejection of foreign interference in the internal affairs of states, which is a flagrant violation of international norms and laws, UN Charter and good neighbourliness.
Taqawi pointed out Bahrain's support for the IPU committee's draft proposal on (The role of parliaments in preventing foreign interference in the internal affairs of states), noting Bahrain's patience for the blatant Iranian interference in its internal affairs.
