Damascus - George Al Shami
Syrian activists said that security forces carried out the death penalty against a number of female prisoners imprisoned in Palestine Branch. Located in Damascus, Palestine Branch is run by Syrian Military Intelligence and is known for its brutal interrogation methods. The activists revealed the names of a number of the women executed in the branch, including 23-year-old Wala Mohamed and 22-year-old Rehab Allawy. Their bodies were then transferred to Naagaha tomb in Damascus. Over 300 women are currently imprisoned in Palestine Branch and face the worst cases of torture.
