When Chariot Robotics machines for hull blasting were introduced, the technology instantly became a huge success both in the yard and with clients. Several studies were carried out at the start of the project to understand the technology and its implications in Drydocks World. Both these studies and the technology gave the confidence to invest in the robotics machines.

The equipment operations were modified to suit Drydocks World's environment with the yard increasing the number of robotics machines used to 20% of all maintenance and repair operations. The company has incorporated Chariot Robotics machines into the yards operations to reduce pollution and increase productivity. This hydro-blasting method on a vessel's hull emits zero toxins to the environment and the eco-friendly enclosed blasting and painting sheds with dust and fumes extraction systems minimise air emissions through a grit recycling system that is capable of using 100% recycled steel grit.
