Japan has refused a North Korean invitation to observers at Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) to its rocket launch, officials said Tuesday. "It is inappropriate that any Japanese officials participate in observing the launch," senior Japanese government spokesman said.
Suspecting the launch as a disguised missile test, Japan and the US said the launch would violate the UN sanctions to stop the rocket launch. "Japan has asked North Korea not to launch a rocket," spokesman said. According to a spokesman of (JAXA), the invitation that was delivered by officials of the General Association of Korean Residents is " the first of its kind".
