Cairo - MENA
Deputy Chairman of Banque Misr Akef al Maghrabi said a limit on the Egyptian credit cards abroad has been cancelled as of Tuesday.
In statements on Tuesday, Maghrabi asserted that customers will be allowed as of today to enjoy the maximum limits of purchase cash withdrawal outside Egypt.
Egyptian banks have introduced restrictions on the use of Egyptian credit cards abroad in late 2016 in view of the then shortage of foreign currency.
Meanwhile, the Commercial International Bank (CIB) has also cancelled limits on the Egyptian credit cards abroad as per the purchase operations, while the cash withdrawal limits are still in effect.
