Centrak Bank of Egypt

Egypt's central bank said on Sunday it sold 281 million dollars in the interbank market to meet demands for basic commodities.
The bank holds dollar auctions on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays of every week.
Over the past few days, the bank has taken some measures to fight black market, including setting a ceiling for dollar deposits in the Egyptian banks.
In the official exchange market, the dollar is sold for 7.63 Egyptian pounds and bought for 7.58 pounds.
