Italian Finance Minister Vittorio Grilli said Monday Italy didn\'t require the European Central Bank to help prop up its public finances at this point in time by purchasing the state debt of the eurozone\'s third-largest economy. Grilli made the comments at a press conference in Paris. He said his position reflected that already taken publicly by Italian Premier Mario Monti on Italy\'s current financial situation. Grilli ruled out the need for ECB assistance \"in the current context\".
