Total remittances sent home from Egyptians working in the UAE reached about 6.6 billion dirhams (1.8 billion dollars) during 2016, said the UAE's Central Bank.

In an initial report, which was obtained by MENA, the UAE's Central Bank said that the total remittances of foreigners who work in the UAE to the outside world in 2016 reached about 160.8 billion dirhams (43.8 billion dollars).
