Iran has not yet restarted supplying crude oil to Germany, a senior official of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) said. “The Islamic Republic of Iran does not export oil to Germany and no cargo has been loaded for delivery to the terminals in this European country,” Mohsen Qamsari, NIOC director of international affairs, told Shana. He was reacting to report in a German magazine that Iran has resumed oil supply to Germany following last month’s implementation of Geneva nuclear deal. The German report had said that 26 Iranian tankers are heading to Germany. National Iranian Tanker Company was recently removed from the list of US government sanctions. The sanctions relief will remove all obstacles about insurance coverage and banking services required for crude oil exports to China, India, Turkey, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. The development follows the implementation of an interim nuclear accord, which was signed last November between Iran and six world powers and which took effect on January 20.
