Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Military Museum opens its doors on Tuesday and Wednesday as part of festivities on Bahrain's celebrations of its National Days on December 16 and 17, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 43rd Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 15th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa's Accession to the Throne.
Visitors will have the opportunity to get a glimpse of Bahrain’s modern military history at the museum which showcases artworks documenting the BDF development march. The milsetone also features photos of armaments, military banners, uniforms, and medals in addition to the Bahrain Rulers Hall and a pavilion showcasing the BDF participation in the war to liberate the State of Kuwait.
