Manama, Dec. 20 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister and Board of Trustees Chairman of Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi patronized in the Gulf Hotel’s Conference Hall today a ceremony, held by BIPD, to honour the winning students of the fourth and last edition of the National Child Rights Competition.

The contest was organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Education with the participation of 42 public schools. The Information Minister honoured the students who clinched the top three places in drawing, photography, collage art and speech writing.

BIPD Acting Executive Director Anwar Ahmed stressed that the competition aimed to translate the noble goals of the royal reform project in protecting human rights through a comprehensive system of legislation that preserves the rights and dignity of the Bahraini person. He thanked Education Minister Dr. Majid Al Nuaimi for his directives which contributed to the success of the competition over four years. He also praised the efforts of all administrative and educational competencies in boosting awareness of the importance of the competition and motivating the students to participate in it. He expressed keenness on more cooperation between BIPD and the Education Ministry regarding other initiatives aimed at ensuring good upbringing of future generations and bolstering their patriotism.
