The African-Arab Summit\'s pre-event cultural activities were launched by State Minister for Cabinet Affairs and Health Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdallah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah on Thursday. The third dual geopolitical meeting of leaders will be officially held in between November 18 and 20, and the function follows similar pre-event functions which were launched yesterday. \"The cultural events reflect Kuwait\'s growing attention given to the heritage of both the Arab and African regions,\" he said. \"The rise of nations can only be achieved through the revelation of the thin line between their history and future... Kuwait believes that the stability of Africa is the stability and security of the Arab region as a whole.\" For his part, Amiri Diwan Advisor and the summit\'s chief organizer said that the cultural functions will include presentations of workmanship and stage acts aimed at displaying the level of closeness between the two region\'s cultures, which will be followed by a four-day economic forum attended by several experts from the two sides, and international funds and organisations. Today\'s activities witnessed several traditional displays of song and dance of troupes from Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, with Kuwaiti renowned singers Abdallah Al-Rowaishid, Nawal and Nabil Shuail each setting the stage alight. The cultural event, organised by the state National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters, will host indoor and outdoor activities representing many of the attending Arab and African nations across the country.
