Defence Minister Prince Salman viewed a presentation of the King Abdullah Cultural Centre, which is nearing completion. It was when Prince Salman received Mayor of the Eastern Province Daifullah al-Otaibi at his residence in Aziziyah. Eastern Province Gov. Prince Muhammad bin Fahd and Deputy Gov. Prince Jelawi bin Abdul Aziz were also present. The Centre will house the King Abdul Aziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) in the region, which will consist of cultural, social and economic activities. Prince Salman also received yesterday Isa Al-Ansari, special adviser to the governor of Eastern Province. Al-Ansari briefed Prince Salman on Prince Muhammad’s humanitarian initiatives such as Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development and Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Programme for Youth Development. Prince Salman also launched the Eastern Province Governorate Magazine on iPad and iPhone yesterday. The prince also viewed the 13th issue of the magazine released to mark the prince’s visit to the province. Chief Editor of the magazine Faisal Al-Quo was present on the occasion, the SPA reported. The prince also opened the implementation of the Prince Sultan Centre for Educational Activities with separate buildings for boys, girls, sports clubs and training halls. Prince Salman is currently on an inspection tour in the province. On Wednesday, the prince visited the King Abdul Aziz Naval Base in Dammam.
