The Antiquities Ministry managed to restore two Egyptian artifacts that were smuggled to Austrioa and Germany.
In statements on Monday, Antiquities Minister Mamdouh Damaty said the ministry will receive the two pieces on Tuesday.
The first artifact is an ushabti statue dating back to the 26th Family that was seized while it was put on sale by two Austrians.
The ministry coordinated with the Interpol, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry and the Egyptian Embassy in Vienna to bring back the statue.
The second piece is a section of a tablet dating back to the Egyptian Middle Kingdom.
It was on display at Munich Museum but the ministry managed to bring it home and it will be put on display at the Grand Egyptian Museum, the minister added.
