Egypt won a seat in the executive board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) after snatching 136 votes, Mohamed Sameh, Egypt's ambassador to the UNESCO, said. He said the Arab group completed in the vote with six Arab nations, adding four nations won in the vote. "That represented a significant recognition of Egypt's leading role in the international arena," he said.
