Kuwait Writers Association (KWA) organized a seminar Wednesday on Kuwaiti literary and historical works relating to Hajj (pilgrimage) on the occasion of the start of this religious ceremony. Kuwait literati and scholars throughout history wrote a lot of studies which provide an insight into the Hajj rituals and importance, Al-Bayan Magazine Editor-in-Chief Saleh Al-Mesbah said in a statement during the seminar. Al-Mesbah pointed out several books, including a book by Scholar Sheikh Othman bin Sanad Bin Enezah, published in the 19th century, another by Scholar Sheikh Yosif bin Al-Qenai entitled \"Jurisprudence memory in Sharia laws, and a book by Scholar and Historian Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Ershaid who recounted his journey from Egypt to Makkah to perform Hajj in 1918. The official added that many of these historians Kuwaitis wrote about the pilgrimage, obstacles which they faced during their time, and methods they used during their travel, including mentioning the environments in which they went through as a reference until reaching Makkah city. Al-Mesbah noted that he also participated in preparation and writing of several books documenting Hajj campaigns in Kuwait\'s history.
