Al Azhar said a new branch of the Egyptian family house was opened in Aswan.

In a statement Friday, Al Azhar said the branch will act under the prestigious Islamic institute and the Orthodox Church to spread the culture of dialogue, coexistence, citizenship and acceptance of the Other.

The branch will organize various activities in all fields with the participation of Muslims and Christians, the statement added.

A delegation of the Egyptian family house is currently paying a three-day visit to Aswan to inaugurate activities of the new branch.
