Oman is currently taking part in London International Book Fair, which is being held with participation of 1500 publishing houses and specialized companies, as well as 24,000 specialists in publishing industry worldwide. During his visit to the sultanate\'s pavilion, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Zahir Al-hinai, Sultanate\'s ambassador to the United Kingdom (UK) hailed the efforts of the heritage and Culture Ministry, which were reflected on the pavilion that showcases the sultanate\'s culture, heritage, history and modern renaissance through a number of Arabic and english publications. A number of ambassadors of the sisterly and friendly countries, as well as researchers and intellectuals from different countries visited the Sultanate\'s pavilion and expressed their delight over the cultural movement in the sultanate which is represented by the publishing and translation activities. In a statement to Mman News Agency Khalid bin Ahmed Al-tooqi, Supervisor of the Sultanate\'s pavilion said that the participation of the heritage and culture ministry in london fair this year comes within the framework of the efforts being exerted to affirm the Sultanate\'s presence in such international events, as well as reviewing the latest systems and techniques used in the field of publishing and printing. The 41st edition of the fair includes more than 400 seminars and activities, which turn it to be an important annual event to sign agreements among the authorities of book industry and publishing.
