Sharm el-Sheikh - Arab Today
The Arab advisory committee on child rights held a meeting on Wednesday in Sharm El Sheikh city to discuss and put an end to violent practices committed against Arab children.
The one-day gathering of the committee, chaired by Algeria, was organized under the auspices of the Arab League (AL) and the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood (NCCM).
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Algerian delegation Karima Naqtaf said children are the most vulnerable category in Arab societies as evidenced by their rights being violated unjustly.
Also, she called on Arab states to do more efforts and unite to stop the violent practices against them.
For their part, children from Egypt, Lebanon and Palestine have briefed the attendees on the violent practices being committed against Arab children, especially those who were displaced due to armed conflicts in some countries in the Arab world.
