Arab League Secretary General Nabil el Araby held talks Sunday with Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong and her accompanying delegation.
The meeting took up a host of regional and international issues of mutual interest, topped by the Palestinian cause and the conditions in Syria, Libya and Yemen.
The meeting also tackled exchanging viewpoints on issues of mutual concern and ways of boosting cooperation between China and the Arab countries in the various spheres, said AL's Secretary General's Advisor and Director of Asia and Australia Department Khalid el Habbas.
Preparations for holding the seventh ministerial session of the Arab-Chinese cooperation forum at the foreign ministries' level between the two sides were also discussed during the meeting, he added.
The forum will be hosted by Qatar on May 11-12, he said.
Araby, meanwhile, underlined the importance role played by China in the UNSC to support Arab rights, especially the right of the Palestinian nation for an independent state.
