Aswan Governor Magdy Hegazy met Monday with the members of the Egyptian Club in Dubai under Ahmed Abu Egiela.
The meeting was attended by number of the parliament's members during their visit to the governorate to activate tourism in Egypt.
During the get-together, Hegazy said that the governorate is qualified to host sports tourism, adding that scientific conferences for Egyptian universities were organized in Aswan.
Facilities are provided to attract more tourists which led occupancy rates to reach 70 to 100 percent during the winter season.
The governor underlined also that hotel owners are preparing for the next winter season, noting that the workers in the tourism sector are being qualified to be good representatives of Egypt.
Hegazy listened to the suggestions of the members of the club pertaining to upgrading the tourism sector in Egypt in general and in Aswan in particular.
The governor reiterated that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi pays a great attention to developing Lake Nasser.
For his part, the head of the Egyptian Club in Dubai thanked Aswan's governor for welcoming them and the initiative that was prepared by the clubs' members for three months so as to boost tourism in Egypt.
