Belgian Ambassador in Cairo Sibille de Cartier asserted her country's interest in promoting relations with Egypt in all domains.

The ambassadress made the remarks during her meeting with Alexandria Governor Reda Farahat late Sunday.

She said a number of Belgian companies operating in Alexandria and their counterparts in Cairo have participated in digging the new Suez Canal.

The ambassadress also welcomed cooperation with Alexandria governorate in the management of waste, noting that she will discuss means of exchanging cooperation during other visits to the coastal city.

The Alexandria governor, for his part, asserted that Alexandria has good investment potentials in view of the current stability of the security and political conditions.

He termed as "promising" investment opportunities in Alexandria and future plans to develop western the governorate and link it with the New Borg El Arab city which is also an area that could lure more investments.
