Cairo Governor Galal el Said received Monday US Ambassador to Egypt Stephen Beecroft.

During the meeting, el Said discussed the efforts exerted to restore the cultural aspect of downtown Cairo.

Fore his part, Beecroft tackled the pivotal role played by Egypt in the region as well as means of promoting the Egyptian-US ties.
