Egypt's Defense Minister Sedqi Sobhi met on Thursday with Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Alexander Potapov and his accompanying delegation.
They discussed issues of mutual concern and deals to be signed by the two countries in the coming period.
Potapov praised Egyptian-Russian relations and called for strengthening prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the coming period.
He also praised efforts exerted by the Egyptian army to wipe out terrorism and bring about stability in the Middle East region.
Sobhi hoped that the coming period would witness more cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
The meeting was attended by Egyptian Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hegazy as well as a number of high-ranking military officers.
