Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Health Authority on April 16, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC), with the participation of nine of the most prominent cardiothoracic surgeons in the world.

Professor Abdallah Raweh, MD, PhD, Consultant Cardiac Surgeon UK, Vice-Rector of Ludes University, Switzerland, Director of Arab Countries London Core Review, said the conference is one of the most important event globally in the field of heart surgery, where it will be held for the first time outside of Britain and the United States since its inception 26 years ago.

Since its inception, the programme has always been held in the UK. Now and for the first time, it will be held in the city of Dubai. By far, Dubai is among the few cities capable of attracting world-class medical events like this. This is mainly because of the many facilities available, and the support of the UAE government and leaders, to bring such global medical training programmes to the UAE. "Our decision to choose INDEX as our partner is based on its reputation and expertise in organising such scientific conferences and events," Professor Raweh said.

The course comprises of lectures from the successful USA course as well as UK and European lectures relevant to syllabus and exam. The London Core Review faculty comprises of a mixture of UK and USA members bringing expertise in various disciplines.

The event is supported by the UAE Ministry Of Health, Dubai Health Authority – DHA, International Hospital Federation – IHF, Health Ministers Council for Gulf Cooperation Council, Global Family Medicine Scientific Alliance, Anti-Smoking International Alliance, INDEX Healthcare Management, and Dubai Sports Council.
