Egyptian Defense Minister Colonel General Sedky Sobhy held a meeting on Tuesday with visiting Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.

The talks tackled a host of issues on strategic cooperation and partnership in view of military cooperation protocols signed between the two countries.

Sobhy hailed the depth of Egyptian-Russian strategic relations, noting that the two countries share identical views on backing efforts meant to realize regional and international security, stability and development.

Armed Forces Chief of Staff Lt. General Mahmoud Hegazy and State Minister for Military Production Mohamed Assar attended the meeting along with a number of Armed Forces top brass.
