Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi received UAE Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan on the sidelines of the 72nd Regular Session of the UN General Assembly.
The meeting, which was attended by Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri, focused on Arab and regional developments, especially crises unfolding in the region.
President el-Sisi hailed strong bilateral relations between the UAE and Egypt, stressing the importance of bolstering joint ties in all fields.
He said that regional developments and challenges necessitate concerted Arab efforts to stave off attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of Arab states.
The UAE minister highlighted his country’s distinguished relations with Egypt, stressing keenness on strengthening joint cooperation to achieve shared vital interests.
He praised the level of coordination and intensive consultation with Egypt to address the challenges and risks facing the region, especially terrorism, urging Arab solidarity and unity to foil attempts that threaten the security and stability of the Arab World.
