Egypt's Ambassador Mohamed Hegazy

Egypt's Ambassador to Germany Mohamed Hegazy on Thursday held a meeting with a raft of young trainees at the German Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, Hegazy discussed the latest developments in Egypt and the situation in the Middle East.

Hegazy reviewed changes that took place in Egypt since January 25 revolution in 2011, pointing out that the Egyptian people revolted again in 2013 to preserve the identity of the country.

He spot light on a road map agreed upon by the Egyptian people on July 3 after the ouster of president Mohamed Morsi.

Egypt's government exerted utmost efforts to build state institutions and carry out administrative and economic reform, he said.

He noted that Egypt plays an important role in support of peace and stability in the region.

The Egyptian diplomat explained Egypt's efforts to rebuild the Egyptian economy, encourage investments, establish major economic projects and address employment and poverty.

He tackled the New Suez Canal project, which will be inaugurated on August 6.
