Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held a meeting on Thursday with Arab envoys to the United Nations in New York.

The meeting is part of Shourky's long visit to the US which runs until Monday.

During his stay, he met with EU representatives to the UN during a banquet held by the EU diplomats.

Shoukry is also expected to meet with diplomats of African and Asian countries.

He kicked off his visit to the US Wednesday to promote Egypt’s bid for a non-permanent seat on the UNSC for the years 2016 - 2017.
