Egypt's Minister of Information Technology and Communications Khaled Negm held on Tuesday a meeting with US Ambassador here Stephen Beecroft.

They discussed prospects of cooperation between the two states in the IT domain.

The door is still open for foreign investors to invest in Egypt, Negm said, adding that his main priority is to provide high-quality services for citizens.

Beecroft, for his part, said he will persuade US businessmen to invest in the field of communications in Egypt.

The US is ready to provide Egypt with any needed support in light of its new development plan, the ambassador said.
