FNC Speaker discusses co-operation

Ways of promoting parliamentary co-operation and enhancing bilateral relations between the UAE and Ireland, Singapore and Tajikistan were the focus of separate meetings held between Speaker of Federal National Council Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi and the ambassadors of the three countries.

Ambassador of Ireland Patrick Hennessy underlined the importance of exchanging parliamentary visits to enhance friendly relations with the UAE in various spheres and discuss issues of common concern.

Al Qubaisi highlighted the importance of parliamentary diplomacy pursued by the FNC to promote the UAE's vision and goals.

Ambassador of Singapore Samuel Tan Chi Tse presented Al Qubaisi with an invitation to visit his country in August and deliver a speech at the prestigious National University of Singapore to highlight the UAE’s success story, history and achievements.

Ambassador of Tajikistan Sharifi Bahodur Mahmudzoda said that his country’s relations with the UAE are strong.

Presenting Al Qubaisi with an invitation to visit Tajikistan, Mahmudzoda noted that exchanging visits would contribute to enhancing co-operation between the two countries in sectors such as trade, investment, tourism, hydroelectric power, transport and agriculture. MMYS
