Foreign Minister meets with Mauritanian counterpart

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met with his Mauritanian counterpart Dr. Isselkou Ould Ahmed Izid Bih, on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

 

Shaikh Khalid expressed his honor and appreciation for the brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in all fields, and the continuous progress that serves their interests in light of the common keenness to activate these relations and deepen the channels of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

 

Shaikh Khalid expressed his thanks and appreciation for the stances of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in supporting the Kingdom of Bahrain and for the measures it has taken to confront terrorism and to confront all those who support or finance it.

 

Dr. Isselkou Ould Ahmed Izid Bih affirmed the strength of the brotherly historical relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, reiterating his country's support for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its total rejection of jeopardizing its security or interfering in its affairs in any form, praising the tireless efforts made by the Kingdom of Bahrain to maintain Arab national security.
