French National Assembly President Claude Bartolone received on Thursday Grand Imam of Azhar Ahmed Tayyeb, who is on his first official visit to France.

The meeting is expected to tackle Azhar efforts to disseminate the moderate teachings of Islam that call for renouncing violence and terror.

The two sides will also discuss means of enhancing cooperation between Al Azhar and France to combat terror mongers that target thousands of French youth.
