French President Francois Hollande met Sunday with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
The meeting took place in China on the sidelines of the G20 summit. Hollande called on Putin to pursue a political solution to the Syrian crisis. The French President stressed that the international community must work on negotiating such a solution and establishing peace in Syria. For his part, Putin stressed on the importance of countering terrorist organizations in Syria.
Earlier in the summit, President of China Xi Jinping warned in his opening speech against the dangers of the weak global economic growth. He urged leaders to agree a framework that will help boost the growth rate of global GDP.
