Lebanese Forces Party leader, Samir Geagea, and his spouse, MP Strida Geagea, and the accompanying delegation traveled to Melbourne, as part of their Australia tour, where he met with the Prime Minister of Victoria, Daniel Andrew, in the presence of the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Consumer Rights, the Minister of Culture and parliament members Caesar Melhem and Nazih Asmar.

During the meeting, conferees reviewed the situation on the Lebanese and Arab arenas as well as the affairs of the Lebanese community in Melbourne.

Geagea briefed Australian officials on the situation in Lebanon, and thanked Australia for hosting the Lebanese expatriates. He also asked whether the Australian Government could provide assistance through developmental projects.

In a speech, Geagea pointed out that "the Lebanese Forces party is in its golden age, as it represents one of the active and influential components in Lebanon; evidence is the largest role it played in the presidential elections. We are preparing to have candidates in the upcoming parliamentary elections in all Lebanese regions and circumscriptions."

Once again, he urged Lebanese expatriates to "seize the opportunity to rectify the situation in Lebanon through the next parliamentary elections, at least in honor of all the sacrifices of our forefathers and fathers... Lebanon has a great and unparalleled human capacity, and you the expatriates in Australia and all around the world are proof of that
