The President of the Council of Ministers Saad Hariri received today at the Grand Serail the Swiss Ambassador to Lebanon Monika Schmutz Kirg'z and discussed with her the situation and the bilateral relations.
Earlier, Hariri chaired a meeting of the ministerial committee in charge of studying the construction of a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) in Lebanon. Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Ghassan Hasbani, Ministers Ali Hassan Khalil, Mohammed Fneish, Youssef Fenianos and Cesar Abi Khalil and the Secretary General of the Council of Minister Fouad Fleifel attended the meeting. Discussions focused on ways to reduce the cost of gas production for the present plants.
Separately, Hariri received the President of the international committee of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party (Ramgavar) Sergio Nahabedian in the presence of the president of the Lebanese Chapter of the party, Avedis Dakessian and former MP Agop Kassarjian.
After the meeting, Nahabedian said: "We were glad to meet with Prime Minister Hariri. We wished him and Lebanon all the success. We consider Lebanon our second country after Armenia and we appreciate the fact that Lebanon welcomed the Armenian people during its difficult times. We consider the Armenians as part of the Lebanese people, and upon my return to Argentina I will tell the Lebanese community there about the great hospitality in Lebanon
